Letterhead — name left, logo right. Stacked — large logo on top. Cobalt card — HTML cobalt container (Gmail dark mode recolours it). Image card — the cobalt card as a hosted image: the only version Gmail dark mode cannot touch. Needs your personal card generated first.

How to install your signature

Fill in the fields above, then use Copy Signature and paste straight into your mail client's signature editor.

Gmail (computer)

  1. Click Copy Signature above.
  2. Gmail → Settings (gear) → See all settings → General → Signature.
  3. Create a new signature, click into the box, and paste (⌘V / Ctrl+V).
  4. Set "For new emails use" and "On reply/forward use" to it, then Save Changes.

Gmail app (phone)

The Gmail phone app only allows plain-text mobile signatures — Google strips images, so the card cannot appear on mail composed from the app (it still displays fine when phone users read mail sent from a computer). Set the text version instead:

  1. Click Copy Mobile Signature (text) above.
  2. Gmail app → menu (☰) → Settings → your account → Mobile signature (iPhone: Signature settings).
  3. Paste and save.

Outlook (Mac / New Outlook)

  1. Click Copy Signature.
  2. Outlook → Settings → Mail → Signatures → New.
  3. Paste into the editor and save.

Apple Mail

  1. Mail → Settings → Signatures, create a new one.
  2. Uncheck "Always match my default message font".
  3. Use Copy Signature and paste into the signature pane.

Logo note

Dark mode: the Letterhead and Stacked layouts use dark text on the recipient’s own background, so dark-mode clients can wash them out or invert them unpredictably. The Cobalt card is better, but Gmail’s mobile app rewrites even its colours (cobalt goes lavender, white goes dark). The Image card is the bulletproof option: the same cobalt card rendered as a hosted image, which no client re-colours. Its image is looked up from your Email field (luke.paris@… → signatures/luke-paris.png), so it only works once your personal card has been generated and published — if the preview shows a broken image, ask for your card to be added (one command: tools/build_signature_cards.py in the Reports repo).

The Logo URL field is pre-filled with the hosted logo on the collateral CDN — no change needed. Email clients can only load a public absolute URL (not relative paths, not embedded images), because the logo is fetched from the recipient’s machine.

It used to point at www.arealytics.com.au/arealytics-logo-dark.png, which returns HTTP 400 — that file has never existed on the live domain, which still serves the old site. That is why the logo was showing as a broken image in sent mail. Don’t point it back at arealytics.com.au until the new site is actually live there and you have loaded the URL in a browser yourself.
